Hailey Bieber celebrates the first anniversary of her mini-stroke

Hailey Bieber is celebrating a year since her “life-changing” mini-stroke took place.

“I can’t believe it’s been 1 year since I suffered a mini-stroke that led to my PFO [patent foramen ovale] diagnosis,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Friday.

“As this is a year after such a life-changing event, I wanted to share all the information I’ve learned about FOP and share resources for donating.”

The model, 26, went on to share some facts about PFO including that the condition is the “most common congenital heart defect” and is the “passageway between the left and right atria of the heart “.

In early 2022, Justin Bieber’s wife underwent heart surgery after suffering from stroke-like symptoms.

The model said the health scare was a “life-changing event”.

After arriving at a Palms Springs area hospital, Hailey discovered she had a blood clot that traveled to her brain and caused a transient ischemic attack (TIA).

However, doctors were unable to figure out how the blood clot got there.

In March, Justin, 29, shared how his wife was doing after her health scare.

Last year, Hailey was hospitalized after suffering from stroke-like symptoms.

“Most of you probably know or have seen the news about my wife…but she’s fine, she’s good, she’s strong,” the ‘Peaches’ singer said during his Denver concert at the ‘era.

“But it’s been scary, you know, it’s been really scary. But I know for a fact that God has it in the palm of his hands, and that’s a good thing,” he added.

Earlier this year, Hailey revealed she’s been battling PTSD since her mini-stroke.

“I struggled with a lot of anxiety afterwards. I struggled with a bit of post-traumatic stress, like the fear that it might happen again,” the Rhode Beauty founder revealed on the “Run- Through with Vogue” on January 5.

“It was just a feeling that I was, like, I never want to go through this again. It was so terrifying, so shocking, so disconcerting in every way you could imagine.

However, Hailey now lives her life without thinking about what could happen to her health.

“I think back on it and it could have been a lot worse,” she said. “So many worse things could have happened at that time.”
